The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
