'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial important trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Future success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could begin in the coming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring performance continues to astound
